When Photography meets Painting

by Lisa Borgiani and Massimo Nidini

September 8 - 30  2007

The combination signed by the two Italian artists from Verona is an expression of two techniques, two minds and two different feelings put together.

The shots of Lisa focus on detail through the movement of the camera arouse very strong sensations.

The brushstrokes of Massimo enrich the result, touches that confer together a dreamy emotional vibration.

The photo of Lisa is where the travel starts, continued and completed then by the painting of Massimo which exalts lines, shapes and shadow of the photo.

Symbols of the most important capitals in the world, colonial townhouses in Singapore are some of the themes chosen by the two artists exposed at the Aryaseni Art Gallery.

Two feelings become one on the same work.

Lisa is full of energy and you can feel the vibration in the movement of her shots.

Massimo has been painting since 40 years now and the way he can follow Lisa’s images and ideas is amazing, he can add exactly and perfectly all what it seems to miss in the photo and what Lisa wants to express drawing vibrant and exciting colours.
